This Isn'T Fair Poem by Hopeless Heart

This Isn'T Fair

Don’t do it,
Please.
You are not the one
Who should be doing this,
You should be out
Being happy, having fun.

I would ask why
But I know,
I know the feelings
Which would lead someone
To do it

Tears form in my eyes
When I think of you,
Holding that thing
In your hands
Wishing, hoping for relief

I’m such a hypocrite
Telling you not to do it,
Why would you listen to me?
When I’m the worst offender.
But I know what you think,
You tell yourself it will help,
But it doesn’t!
And yet you continue

Feeling that blade in your skin
Isn’t the best feeling
Even watching the blood appear on your skin
Can’t amount to telling a friend

A friend who won’t judge,
A friend who will still love you,
A friend who actually cares,
A friend who helps you,
Though you don’t always notice they’re there

Please stop before it goes to far,
Please stop before you’re addicted,
Please stop before you regret it,
Please stop before we can’t help.

It isn’t fair
It shouldn’t be you,
Not you,
Not him,
Not me,
It shouldn’t be anyone!
The world really sucks
This isn’t fair!
