This Is Their Way Poem by Francis Duggan

This Is Their Way

Their own selves they even have come to deceive
The peopletheir own lies who have come to believe
A true statement from them you seldom hear of or read
One lie to another lie it always does lead
With some people lying is an every day thing
Any honor to humanity their sort never bring
The truth may be hurtful to you for to say
But the truth serves one far better than lying any day
People mostly lie the truth for to hide
For to save themselves embarrassment they lie to protect their pride
Fear of loss of public esteem they lie to disguise
One lie to another lie always to does give rise
Some people their art of lying practice every day
To live by deception this is their way.
