This Is It Poem by Sir Gaylord Munemo

This Is It

Remember the green fields my love,
Remember the blues seas,
Remember the long view my love,
Remember the dream you had,
Falling in love with a stranger,
Walking along the green fields,
Sitting on the beach during sunset,
Viewing the dolphins jumping up high,
The blue sea waving with fury,
Remember these things my love,
That man is me, this is it

It was a windy day I remember,
So cloudy and dark I remember,
The pounding heart of a lady,
In your loneliness and great fear,
Dreaming of a man to comfort,
He took away all the fears,
Engulfed you in his tender hands,
To love you without a reason,
That man is me, this is it

You were young and so innocent,
Yet you dreamt love you never saw,
The behaviour you never experienced,
The views you had on your verandah,
The man passing looking at you,
The passing days you experienced,
The man who waved you on the balcony,
The meanings you tried to attach,
The man who gave you flowers,
Then the dream that vanished,
Forgetfulness haunted you my love,
I was your dream, , in the dream,
That man was me, this is it
