Something About You Poem by Sir Gaylord Munemo

Something About You

I could not see it but I felt it,
My eyes I widened but they were in vain,
The feeling so intense and present,
The vision ever blinkered and absent,
The thoughts I had my dearest,
And the vision I did not,
All in a feeling without suitable diction,
It was nothing about me,
It was something about you

Wanted to write it, failed the diction,
Wanted to sing it, failed the chorus
Wanted to describe it, failed the verbatim
Should I seek a lexicon?
Im not a skirmisher of wit,
Im a man falling in love,
Yet it is nothing about me,
But something about you

Is it the smile, is it the beauty
Is it the kindness, or the appreciation
Yet I am still searching-looking
The meanings too strong for I,
Would I ever contain it-
While failing to interpret it
It is nothing about me sweetheart,
Its something about you

You are like a flower in my garden,
To be loved, and be loved more
The reasons perfect and absent,
It is nothing about me darling
But its something about you

The rising and falling of the sun,
The movements of the wind,
The cycle of life and death,
All I have defined, yet failed one thing,
It is nothing about me,
But something about you

Never torture me with thy words,
For the answers are ever absent,
Spare me the question, why do I love you
For my response is a waterless sea,
A stagnant river, open and void,
Reasons I have not, yet I know,
Its nothing about me,
But something about you

The something I know not,
Yet that something is everything,
I love you,
Beacause of something about you
Something I might never know,
Yet the love I will ever show
Something about you my dear
