This Is I Poem by Matthew Holloway

This Is I

I'm not one for fitting in
Nor being considered normal
I am at odds with the world
Unusual, the square peg as it is
The normality of modern life
The boxes of acceptability
Listed and ticked off
To fit into society
Leave me feeling impotent
Without desire for it
A lifeless shell of existence
No, far better to not comply
To stand out, fail acceptance
To feel alive and free
To accept my vices
Beauty, Love and poetry
