This Contradiction Goes Both Ways Poem by James Darwin Smith II

This Contradiction Goes Both Ways

This contradiction goes both ways

Read down

Eccentric, Yet shy
An introvert openly expressive
A private lifer in a public guise
Yes. I am a contradiction

A painter that paints by pen in fact

I am red when I am black
Blue when I am green
I am Purple when I am grey

Do you know what I mean?

Upon the evening at noon
I see the whole sky as white
And the clouds are blue
The Moon shining brightly in the day
And the sun sets at night

Thinking is a contradiction to truth
I feel so stupid when I am smart
I feel so smart when I am fool
Knowledge comes to me without thinking
Thinking is an illogical tool

Ice and fire unite
Sunburnt in the cold
Frozen in the heat
Ice and fire is in my soul

After what is next
The beginning sets
Just before after
And right after before
As tomorrow comes after today

Now read from the bottom to the top

This contradiction goes both ways
