Think Before You Speak Poem by Mariam Daoud

Think Before You Speak

Rating: 5.0

Hold on to that tongue
It's a trouble maker you see
Hold on to that tongue
For it effects who you will be
Hold on to that tongue
Don't blurt out un-thought words
Hold on to that tongue
Because it could hurt like a pack of swords
Hold on to that tongue
For it effects your future
Hold on to that tongue
Hold on to that tongue
Hold on to your tongue
And I'll hold on to mine.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have been told this several times, and I finally found the maturity to follow it. This also shows how some people insult me or annoy me and when I respond, they get mad. so when I say 'hold on to your tongue and i'll hold on to mine', I'm saying I wont insult you or talk back if you are respectful to me as well
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
