These Eyes Poem by Rutvi Padhy

These Eyes

How must I overlook these eyes...
The divine azure that looks through me...
How must I resist its depths?
These eyes, they could ruin me...
How must I keep away from them?
From the waves that rise and fall,
How must I not be tempted?
Tell me the truth, whom do these eyes call?
When your pretty eyes, when they gaze at me...
Do I really hear them whisper my name?
When these bewitching eyes have fooled the world,
Do they not deceive me now, why wouldn't they do the same?
These eyes...your beautiful eyes...these eyes...oh your eyes...
It really should be a sin to look at them!
These eyes, these alluring eyes...this rancid lust...
No...it isn't right...it just shouldn't be!
And even then, I'd let your brilliant eyes ravish my soul,
And I know I shall not regret diving deep...
'Cause your eyes, they hold a different glaze...
A different glint that I have seen...
I do desire this crude road forged by the heart,
Its worth the risk, worth the wait,
I just cannot lie to my heart any longer,
It's you, you're my road, you're my end...
Therefore, these eyes, this fathomless sea,
I'll let it's waters, I'll let them enflame me,
I swear I'll look into your radiant eyes forever,
'Cause if not your eyes, I don't yearn to see....
