There They Wait...For A Rainy Night Poem by Wensday Wood

There They Wait...For A Rainy Night

Slowly the fog and mist
Come out in to the night
And a drizzle begins to fall

In the garden that night
Life begins for it and
Shimmers are seen everywhere

Laughter fills the air and
Dripping water is heard
From the shimmers

Their hands and feet lightly
Touch the water around
Calling the song

The song only known to
Them and those who dance
And believe

The light slowly peaks from the
Horizon and the garden goes
Back to being still

The dancing rain fairies sleep
In the garden and wait for
The next rainy night to
Be free
