There’s Hope At The Cross

This world’s become the devil’s whore
With offspring of despair
Deceived they close to Light their door
And have from truth no share

But Jesus has a word to say
With power yet unknown
With love to show His flock The Way
And soften hearts of stone

The war is on the choice is free
Whichever side we’ll fight
To whom we choose to bend our knee
Darkness or radiant Light

Satan would have some mouths be still
Some ears no longer hear
He sends his children out to kill
And trouble hearts with fear

There is no ploy he wouldn’t use
No tactic too obscene
No holy law he’d not abuse
To capture Jesus’ queen

On gross deceit his army thrives
With lies they’ll forge their way
With doubt and hate their wicked knives
They’ll try to win the day

Casualties bearing evil stains
Victims festooned with dross
Prisoners, bound with selfish chains
Cry out beneath The Cross

Will Heaven turn a blinded eye?
Will Jesus turn His face?
Was not for these Christ chose to die?
And save their souls through grace
