There Is Nothing That Is Not Within Poem by Raj Arumugam

There Is Nothing That Is Not Within

Rating: 5.0

one thinks one comes to truth
to understanding and wisdom
through revelations and Holy Texts
and attendance at great congregations;
and all are victims of pleasure-pain
and one seeks Heaven and seeks to avoid Hell
and all are possessed by the selfish desire
to Paradise;
and to come to the infinite, to the silence,
to the beautiful
one thinks
all one needs to do
is to repeat dictums and study theology
and to study and quote scriptures
and to kneel and to confess
and to seek blessings and grace
and seek miracles;
and to rely on chants and mystery
and complete surrender:
but there is nothing without one’s own insight;
there is nothing that is higher or lower;
there is nothing that is not within;
there is nothing in the things we hold true and sacred;
there is nothing in words, images,
and ideology and theology and tenets of faith
and all we may hold sacred:
there is nothing that is not within
and that may not be seen by oneself

Dear Sir, truely said...........Really that is the quintessence of all religion and God himself...........There is nothing that is not within...........and what we do is to dump upon the clarity and purity of the inner consciousness all the dirty gossips, ugly feelings and emotions regarding others, all silly sundries and make our innate dirty and nomore can it radiate its purest inner rays and illuminate us..............It is the inner beauty or silent beauty dissolved in nothingness or rather the invisible beauty of truths of life inherent deep within us, revealed to us on meditation by relinquishing our egoes and desires that is the real reflection of God Almighty. Truth as Gandhiji portrayed is the greatest cleansing soap of our innate.........Just accept all truths of ourselves and cure the bad things within in our feelings, emotions and thoughts.......Control the thoughts and clarity surfaces and innate is opening up like a budding flower. Thks for provoking me.
