She was rising high
But she tumbled down her rainbow
She tried to be with them but she always ended up in the dark
Time after time she asked herself if this was it
There was nothing but you… standing all alone
I looked at you… from a distance
Saw your pain, felt your bitterness
I was there for you
I was your guardian angel
I protected you, loved you and helped you to ease your pain
She felt that this wasn’t her world
And she knew that she belonged in the shadows of the night
Couldn’t change your mind about that
No matter how hard I tried…
But I will always be your shadow in your darkness
And I will never let you down
Because you're here in my heart
