Then The Famine Struck Poem by Terence George Craddock

Then The Famine Struck

the pregnancy
was awaited with hope
with joy with expectation

a celebration of life
the union the uniting
of two loving parents

into one beloved child
to be raised adorned in love
then the famine struck...

a pregnancy
celebrated with awaited hope...

a longed for pregnancy
celebrated with rejoicing jubilation...

then the famine struck
while a first world indifferent...

played video games
snap chatted...

discarded excessive mountains
food wasted...

trucked dumped
discarded allowed...

to rot
putridly to increase margin profits...
