Theatrics Poem by Johann Thorarensen

Theatrics

Rating: 3.5

Black and blue
straight and true
with something hidden
that can't come through.

Safe and sound
secured around
beneath me breaking
my own sure ground.

Little boy blue
why hiding, not true?
Little boy blue
come playing, come through.

Pastels feel right
jewels so bright
plasticine colors
in the wonderful night.

Why frightened?
Why scared?
Your life's your creation.
Your colors paired.

Little boy true
why crying, why blue?
Little boy true
why don't you come through?

With its twists and turns
life inside you burns
your whole body yearns
at least our boy learns.

Little boy blue
at least you are true.
Little boy blue
has now broken through.
