The Year Of The Iron Ox 2148 Poem by Amala Comer

The Year Of The Iron Ox 2148

Not long before
we see the glow
of the red dragon's breath
on all we know.
A lifelong quest
to seal his name
in the Party's history
and their hall of fame.
Warnings gone unheeded
from the sirens of fear,
the prostitutes of greed and power,
China's pimps is all they are.
Into the Year of the Ox
out from the Year of the Rat,
can a change in direction come
free from the year of the bat.
There must be Truth,
there must be Peace,
drive this monster of burden out
and let him feast
wearing the yoke of suffering
of all the lives his glory cost

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
From Mao to Jinping a growing list of atrocities, Tibet, Xinjang, Hong Kong, Burma and a virus that has destroyed so much. So many have suffered while we wait for the Free World to act. Bod Gyalo
