The Wrong Impression Poem by Selematsela Abel

The Wrong Impression

Rating: 3.5

The wrong impression she gave
The thoughts ran through my head
The dreams I made, all the missions I had
The future I made in my mind
I created the world of my own, all that was because of her
All that is gone, all gone

The wrong impression she gave
I got lost for days
Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to month.
Not a day could pass by without thinking of you.
She made me to be obsessed with her and I almost forgot my way
She reminded me of the love I have

I was ready to deliver more and I was walking blindfolded.
As they say love is blind, surely I was falling for her.
Then she broke the ice
She aimed at my heart; she managed to pull the trigger.
She short exactly my heart
Now I know that love hurts the most

I thought it was the end of the world, but yet I am still standing
Damage is what she did to my life
Maybe I could say havoc is what she did to love life
I know that she precious and generous, but life goes on and on and on.
I just have to keep on going towards my dreams.
There many of fishes in the sea, I Have to keep on fishing

Now that I see the light at the end of my tunnel,
I wish to thank her, for the wrong impression she gave.
But I say I had enough of her, everything happens for a reason
Everything has got its time.
