The World Is What It Is Poem by Raj Arumugam

The World Is What It Is

It's not a clean world
nor dirty
The world is what it is

Then you come along
with your perspectives, your angles
and you say:
Let's look at this from this set of beliefs

So you twist and turn everything
to see the world
from what you think must be
from the heavy book in your hand

And you turn dirty what you see
You say it's not a clean world, it's an evil world
and you see what you were taught to see
You see what is not there

It's not a clean world
nor dirty
The world is what it is
but with your set of adages
you dirtify everything
