A Strange Night Poem by Raj Arumugam

A Strange Night

Rating: 5.0

it was a half moon
and the somber sky
yawned, with no other lights;
and a hunchback-cloud came close
and it was a complete picture
of a half-headed ogre
with a sick yellow eye

LOL, I love the monstrous vision conjured up by the cloud. I have always considered it my curse to see plotting humans and ranging monsters in every pattern I happen to glance at. But maybe it's not such a bad thing after all..(smile)

Great imagery...I agree with Roshni, it will be difficult to gaze at teh half moon without recalling your poem...

Brilliant image...although, I'm not sure I will be able to look at a half moon in the same way again!
