The World Inhabits A Population Of Idiots Poem by Gabriella Mantone

The World Inhabits A Population Of Idiots

I want to get away from it all.
Humanity will soon be put on medication.
Before we can understand, just what were doing.
Hand in hand?
More like reaching out for the cold grasp of a stranger.
We don't see what's going on here.
We don't listen to fate screaming our names.
Can't you see?
What's right in front of you.
It's not always so obvious.
But you would think, that after everything that's happened, every story we've heard, every secret we've told.....
That we would try to be better.
But we don't.
Cruelty is in our nature.
Why do we hate on people, just because their different?
Their the ones who listened, they heard their name being called somewhere off in the distance.
So you think your better?
Well you can go sleep.
Wake up when the world's a better place.
When everyone is their own.
Then who will be the one left out?
