The World Becomes A Dream Poem by Ananta Madhavan

The World Becomes A Dream

Was it a German thinker ‘Novalis,
Who spoke about Cinema as a fantasy,
"The world becomes a dream and the dream becomes a world"?
.
"We are the world" is a slogan, not a truth.
We glide through the credit sequences, as in a dream
When the names in small print race by at the end,
Making sure we have our bags and cell-phones intact.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
If anyone knows the source of the saying by the German thinker, Novalis,
please pass it on.The rest of the poem is my own embroidery about
going to a film show and trying to get to the car park quickly.

We have 'Alternate Reality' and 'alternative delusions'. Awakened friends, dream on!
