The World Poem by Roy Bos

The World

It can turn the most generous and kind hearted person in an evil and selfish tyran
People built up walls around their personality, to prevent it from getting to them
But the world created the wall, and it can break it down
It could sneak in and take over your soul and change the progress of your mind

It can get to you and shed your soul to pieces
It can push you in the deep and make you drown
But when you look closer you will see that you are not drowning
You are swimming, and you can feel the warmth of the water

You can feel live returning to you as if you are resurrected
You can feel the devil locking itself away as if you are revelated
And when you reach the shore again, you will know
The world is beautiful as long as you want it to be
