The Word Became Flesh Poem by Dr John Celes

The Word Became Flesh

A baby boy is born today;
He's named ‘Immanuel'- ‘God with us! '
He's God, with birth on Christmas Day;
The Word is born as flesh to bless.

A virgin, Mary, gave Him birth;
The Holy Spirit blessed her womb;
The unseen God is seen on earth;
He'll rise alive, third day, from tomb!

The world is full of ills and woes;
Eve's banished children suffer lot;
We fall in sin and life thus goes;
But Jesus broke the devil's plot.

The baby lay just upon hay;
The angels' choir sang in His praise;
He's Prince of Peace, Truth, Life and Way;
He's come to human sins, erase!

The boy is King of Kings as well;
He'll die a death upon the cross;
Souls need not enter fire of hell,
Because the Savior Christ is Boss;
The earth is filled with peace and bliss!
