The Wondrous Beauty Within Poem by Walter Dapliyan

The Wondrous Beauty Within

Colors dancing in the eyes;
Give beauty to shapes and forms.
Cold, warm, coarse and fine;
Bring beauty to the feel and touch.
Fragrant, unpleasant smells;
Give beauty to the odors.
Delectable, bland tastes;
Bring beauty to the mouth.
Melodic, monotonous sounds;
Give beauty to the ears.

When doubt puts the soul in turmoil,
Faith puts the soul at rest.
Not sound nor noise but
it's silence that brings peace.
Not the kisses nor the hugs but
it's the longings that bring love.

The five senses can know;
But it's the mysterious, lovely, peaceful,
wondrous feeling that can
understand real beauty within.
