The Winds Come Down Hurrying Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Winds Come Down Hurrying

The winds come down hurrying
In turbulence
And down Nix Mangiari steps.

The shock of Things was
Subdued.

Yet
It was there
There in their ghastly face
Face after face
They all went silent down
Tiptoe on the stairs in the narrow
Corridor.
