The Willow Meets The Wind Poem by chris schwartz

The Willow Meets The Wind

Rating: 5.0

When the wind whips the willow
Quietly over the creek,
Skipping waves over the rocks
In the gentle tide,
Takes me back, baby,
To a peaceful time,
When nothing else mattered
But you and me.
Always wondered,
Where the water runs
From here,
The birth of an ocean,
Or a mountain waterfall,
Raging past the quiet
Sound of you and I.

"Love enchants"
"It whispers destiny."
"Circle round its sounds"
"It exits quietly."
But you don't dare
To fall backwards,
Into Eternity.
The gravel road,
That lead you there,
Will only take you,
To more uncertainty.
So, you bury
The Willow,
You keep silence
The slow, running creek.
Til all that's left
Of the beauty,
That we first cherished,
And have seen,
Runs fast,
Swiftly falling,
Into the ocean
Of our dreams.

"Love Enchants, "
"It whispers destiny."
"Circle round its sounds."
"It exits quietly."
