The Wild One Poem by sharon simani

The Wild One

Rating: 3.5

Promises you made to my heart in the past were wrong
And still I had faith to keep holding on
I will wait for forever to love
To find the one
when you came my way something told me it could be you
I was smiling in love at the thought of you
I just a fool, a fool for you

Now you have found the road too long to take
And I see no path that is gonna lead you back my way
There has been no greater stake; even though the sun shines on
It has been said and done and now my whole world is gone

Trying to hold but there is nothing to grab so I let go
No more battles for me instead am dancing alone
Every single moment that you are not here
I won’t worry at all, you will be sorry my dear
All the lies otherwise will be crystal clear

This wasn’t love
And I don’t wanna know about it
I would rather live without it
You have stripped my heart and I am walking away
No need to call to beg me to stay
