The War Of Civilizations

THE WAR OF CIVILIZATIONS

The amazing origin of humanity
Is a mystical fairytale
That nobody can ever claim
The copyrights of its possession.
Where we come from,
how, and why we are here
are the mysterious questions
that accompany us
from birth to death.
Who is right and who is wrong
we can only feel as a sensation,
an instinct that tells us which is why.
Our civilizations, our cultures
Our religions and our traditions
Are never more important than life itself.
No matter what or who
we say we believe in…
when we kill to prove our point
when we oppress, torture,
and wreck the spirits of others
to be holy, we are evil!
No threat is right,
even for the love of God.
We need to spontaneously care,
comfort and comprehend
even those with thoughts different from ours.
Loving those who hate us
often softens their hatred
and pave way to gentleness,
the first step to holiness.
We have known too many wars,
understood their cruelties
to continue promoting them in our time
even when we think they are right!
We need to meet
at a table not owned
by the east or the west,
by the north or the south
but by humanity at large
Our cultures, our religions
must form a new civilization
free from our limitations
and our beliefs
A universal civilization
capable of understanding
every individual need in a global way
without making globalization a new religion,
without undermining and disrespecting
the collective complexity
of a single living entity!
