The Walk Poem by Grant Stevenson

The Walk

Over fields of barley, and of maze,
We shall walk in lovers gaze,
Hand in hand all through the days,
We shall walk together.

On roads that travel east and west,
In times of trouble none the less,
Through all the heartache and the mess,
We shall walk together.

Over Hill and Mountain we will clime
Our souls together our hearts in rhyme
Two as one for all of time
We shall walk together

On through forest and through brush
Your kiss, your smell, your tender touch
I could not repay so much
We shall walk together

On all our travels we will be
Lovers for eternity
I am you, as you are me
We shall walk together
