The Wait Poem by Morgan Bodden

The Wait

Every breath is a count
Every minute is the past
it's all part of a design to keep
our mind's busy, but
in reality what more is life than a wait

If your lucky tomorrow will be different from today
this eliminates consistency
which only makes the wait less interesting
As you already know we will die
So this wait is inevitable.
Compared to waiting to get your brakes done
then the first time you have to stop you end up in a hospital
this wait will not disappoint

So next time you are impatiently waiting on your food
slow down......... because your only rushing the wait.

This is a philosophical writing. I love philosophy in writing so I really enjoyed this piece. It brings up the question of waiting for death. This is an interesting perspective. It causes one to take time to consider the wait as something separate in life. It would make life interesting all the way, I would think. GW62
