The Very Happy Man Poem by Francis Duggan

The Very Happy Man

So many burdened by cares in a Human World where worries are rife
But isn't he the lucky fellow the man who laughs at life
And though life for him is not easy he does not leave that get him down
His laughter is infectious he spreads it in the town
The happy go lucky fellow everyone wishes to know
His friends are in the many and their numbers grow and grow
His marvellous gift of laughter makes for a happy sound
Where he goes it goes with him and joy him does surround
He is as nice a person as one could wish to meet
He says hello to everyone that he meets on the street
'Tis said that he was born with a big smile on his face
And the town for him living in it is a much happier place
A very cheerful fellow so full of life's elan
And he does not have an enemy the very happy man.
