The Unknown Idea Poem by Sydne Morris

The Unknown Idea

The moon shined in the distance
its light touching every corner
Of the earth
Shining on the deep red
Of the Grand Canyon
Exploiting the green of the trees
The blackness of the asphalt of streets

In the sky for days
Slowly getting darker
Every day until it
Disappeared in the dark
Of the night

The world went many nights
Without light
And evil started to roam the world
Darkness took over
Thirsting for light
The world was
Slowly dying in chaos
The only light
Was the fire burning
The creation of man
