The True Art Of Practicing Forgiveness. Poem by Roxanne Dubarry

The True Art Of Practicing Forgiveness.

Rating: 5.0

What exactly is the true art of practicing forgiveness? Does it involve a whole brand new life style change? Are we really able to permanently change our behavioral lifestyle changes all by ourselves? Yes, but only on a temporary basis. Before returning to our former lifestyle. What then is the solution to our problems?

The true art of practicing forgiveness all begins with the establishment of a life changing relationship. Beginning with a very special person. Jesus Christ, God' only begotten Son. We love him and faithfully follow in his footsteps because he first loved us. If we love one another as he loves us, than we are truly his disciples both in thoughts, words and in deeds.

Jesus Christ does freely forgive and pardon us. But forgiveness does come with an admonition. Jesus Christ admonished the woman caught in adulatory, "Neither do I condemn you go and sin no more." Thus we have learned forgiveness is not a license to practice habitual sinning. Are we sincere when we pray to him forgiveness? Are we able to discern on our own if someone else is sincere?

The true art of practicing forgiveness, is not to forgive seven times, but seventy times seven. Jesus Christ taught his disciples. Maybe they want to repent of the wrong they have committed against us? Be not
deceived whatever a person sows he/she will reap the bitter harvest.
Grace and forgiveness maybe free, but it is not cheap! Especially since it came at a terrible cost! The shedding of innocent blood. Jesus Christ was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice by forfeiting his earthly life!

If more people were willing to forgive each other? Instead of harboring resentments and grudges. Seeking revenge! "Vengeance belongs to the Lord and I will repay! " It is not our job it is his! We have read of social media about true Christians forgiving persons who have wrongfully taken the live of a loved one. They pardon their trespasser
in front of a television audience. Does that mean being pardoned not serving their sentence?

Absolutely not! They still have legally pay! Under western jurisprudence in some countries. A person is innocent until proven guilty. There are many people being illegally Incarerated for crimes they did not committed. And that is harder to under take than being actually guilty. When and if they are released the healing process of forgiveness needs a new beginning. The process of complete restoration involves using Jesus Christ as your advocate/mediator!
