The Tree Poem by Gabrielle Stahlie

The Tree

Underneath a willow tree
under a lazy sky
We were resting side by side
My dear child and I

Mother, she asked, what will I be
Will I be good, just like thy
Being good, my child, I say
is hard worship work and pray

Whatever hard times you will meet
leave behind you envy and greed
still... all misfortune you will see

Never breaks the bond
between you and me

I truly love this poem. As a Mother myself, I can relate. We have so much love for our children and hopes and prayers for their lives. I am really enjoying reading your work!
