The Tree Poem by Prodip Basak

The Tree

Rating: 5.0

A tree can give us shade
Beneath it a passerby can make his bed,
Its food and oxygen keep us alive
As a mother in her womb rears a child.

When death meets,
The dry branches give heat,
And the soil gets fertile
By the leaves mile after mile.

The best creature in this world is the tree
Neither human, elephant nor the bee.
