The Translator's Point Of View Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Translator's Point Of View

the way you have
translated that poem of mine
was not accurate

it was the other way around
with the waves and the brown guy
who wrote his secrets of the sands
as it was not him who was
ashamed but the waves of the shores
where the divers swindled his father
like magicians to his cloudy eyes

you asked for my opinion but i prefer
the silence respecting what you are
from what you felt but have never seen.
