The Trade Poem by Jessie Lima

The Trade

Long ago There was two girls
Each one with a necklace of pearls
Friends they wanted to be
But one of the girls couldn't see

The family of the blind girl was rich
The girls they wanted to switch
The poor family accepted
What could they do?
After all they were poor.

When The families got old
The rich family lost all their gold
Help they went to seek
but guess what?
the blind girl remembered the switch!

She now was rich
But the trade in which she was the product
She couldn't forget
Not yet!

But her heart was so good
just watch she no longer could.
Money to them she sent
This is the end.
