The Tide Poem by ARUP RATAN HALDAR

The Tide

And where is the altered way?
You banish the tracks
gigling with an unfathomed aura of silence
you are beyond phenomenon
uttering the disheveled evening
in the kernel of your kiss
wounded by the denial of the mollusc to tread
through the burning chords
and you terrify me, you hear the ascent
without the unplugged roots
I, drowning
in the green shadow of the dragonfly
call you from the depth of a cavern
deep below where the hungry waves stutter
with ecstasy of losing the world inside
