The Temple Poem by Walter C. Edwards

The Temple

I enter the temple,
of forbidden souls,
and you are there,
crying for the sins,
you embraced oh so well,
black as the heart you hold,
tormented by shame,
no light here,
no love also,
it is my time to go.
