The Task Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

The Task

G-reet Friday with a smile,
R-ise of the sun has begun;
E-vening shadows disappear,
G-ood morn brings some fun.

O-n twenty-third December,
P-ouring rain fades away;
U-nderneath the blue sky,
L-ight has brightened the day.
E-arly dawn has broken,
N-ever think of the dusk;
T-hursday night is gone,
O-pen your arms to the task.
