The Sunlight Poem by James Pritchard

The Sunlight

Rating: 5.0

Once upon a time my beautiful sunlight,
shone on me oh so bright.
Here and there, there were some clouds
and they showed me my bounds.
They made me so very mad,
but even more they made me sad.

The sun was getting fed up,
and left like a run away kid.
I cried like the parents would, dumped.
Yes I actually did.

But my sun saw me sad,
and wasn't even itself glad.
I think it actually, like me, missed,
our very first kiss.

So she came back to me at last,
while drinking with no glass.
Once again the sun brightens up my day,
and this is the last thing I say.
