The Sun Worshipper Poem by Kevin Moss

The Sun Worshipper

I am lost without you, I can't find my way,
but I know you'll return when night turns to day.
As dawn breaks you show your face,
to wallow in daylight, its sights to embrace.

The moment we meet I ignite your fire,
to control me with your burning desire.
You slumber at noon as though fixed to stay,
but I know you'll be gone at the end of the day.

In your midst I lay, skin tingling with pleasure,
and you know I am yours to do with at your leisure.
To linger with you to long is dangerous I know,
so I'll hide in the shade when the red starts to show.

Then towards dusk you're ready to leave,
thoughts of missing you makes my heart start to heave.
As you go down, cold night's finally won,
until tomorrow I'll miss you my beautiful Sun.
