The Sun Is Shining Poem by Rununah S...

The Sun Is Shining

The sun is shining:
As the sun is shining,
The birds are chirping.
The flowers are blooming,
The animals are whining.
She is struggling,
Yet, is happiness in the air?
She questions her intentions,
She wonders if anyone cares.
The sun is still shining so bright,
Yet, her smile is yet to bloom.
Behind that smile is a small world.
Her heart aches,
Her mind roams.
She wonders if they know.
Her act,
Her kindness,
Her appreciation,
Her humor.
Is it all an act?
The stress,
The tears,
The praying.
Do they all hear?
Being overwhelmed,
With no one to turn too.
The sun is still shining,
Yet, her heart is still whining.
Her voice is speechless,
Her actions are loud.
Her heart is pounding,
Her dark cloud is growing.
She needs the voice.
She can’t find it.
She needs the relief.
She can’t control it.
As the sun sets,
The moon arrives.
Her night begins,
As her tears fall down.
She’s deeply broken,
No one hears her sound.
She prays harder,
All she needs is a good hug
With a soul by her side.
As her hands come together,
The angels hear her.
She cries harder,
Says, someone is there to listen.
She smiles lightly,
This time, the sun is shining
Brightly than usual.
