The Sun Poem by Zawadi Awich

The Sun

Rating: 5.0

The Sun sets behind the mountains
Slowly swaying into the darker shades
Sweeping across the sky
It bids the earth goodbye

Gently it shines upon the sea
Mixing its colours with the ocean blue
Creating its masterpiece
Its sinks beneath the hills to sleep

Alas asleep forever it cannot remain
Majestically it rises in the early morning
Waking all those it sees
Arising them for the seductive scene

The great golden star moves with time
For it cannot escape life's course
At midday it unleashes it power
Prevailing at its greatest point

From this state it disappears
Silently reducing its radiance
Coming down it sinks back
Setting away for the dark night
