Stoically standing, eternally gazing,
Pointing his spear at an enemy.
Across the river north he is facing,
Away from the land he had to flee.
The great stone warrior on the river side,
Eternal guardian of his land.
Standing alone against the tide,
A true brave heart, fearing no man.
Forever he stands, defiantly alone,
His great chest expanded, with warrior pride.
Amid a heap of skulls and bones,
With his Yaqui princess at his side.
