an ordinary stone
you are,
in trying to take
you away
from said lowly and
ordinary nature
i make you feel like
you are a pearl
a diamond even and
for a time
you believe it to be
so and then
you said i do not
deserve you as now
you feel that you deserve
much better
diamond to diamond
pearl to pearl and you
think that i am
just an ordinary and lowly
stone now to be thrown
in the murky river or
in the muddy pigsty.
i pity you.
and now
i must confess
i can do nothing
about this anymore.
sooner
you will crack
under the sun
and sooner
a child finds you
and you shall be
thrown
into the spot
where you once
rightfully belong.
