The Standing Stone

Rating: 4.5

Over and above is the Sun

Under and below is the moon,

Head east for the promise

To go west with the knowledge

Lead the resistance through

To the rock of yellow truths

All coloured up in-visible jewels

Shining its shine upon hills on high,

Catch this drift from thine will

But shush, be quiet, be still

To the Timeless tones

Its writing for you to come through to truth,

The opening paves the paths to most unknown

The Lion laughs at Man's past

And holds the secret behind its back

From the minds of twin lovers,

The dark shudders for beauty is betwixt the two tonight

From Father Sun and Mother moon take cover

High on the waves of light

Evil hurts like hell on earth where we dwell

As goodness is wasted not rested on the wicked, until

The unveiling within the standing stone

Where the good die delightfully

But the bad take delight in both-sides of life,

You won't find heaven here

For if you do

You will have found an escape as well as a wife

A sanctuary from the evil in the world

'Of it yet not of it' as they say

And this is the only way and what a way?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
the alchemy of going beyond the opposites of yin and yang within the esoteric mystery of the symbol of Man, The Sphinx.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

It's like a cultural melting pot. Big feat, to bring the Orient and Occidental together. Conquers, holy men, alliances and all kind of other things failed, I guess only a poet can do it. Makes sense. Big work for a big heart, kudos.
