The Spectral Lights Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Spectral Lights

And the lights
Ah! the spectral lights
First a window
Flashed
Then by turns
One window went
And the other came
And all
Went and came
And light
Flashed in the night
Up and down
As the switch of each
Window spectral
By spectral hands
Now
put on
Now
Put off
Here
The old house
A place of wonders
Be
A place of magic
Thunders
And creaking doors
And skeletons
And of ghosts and of
Shrouds
The avid minstrelsy
Avid
Avid
