The Space Between Us Poem by Mackenzie Scholte

The Space Between Us

Rating: 5.0

My head rest
Upon the rise and fall of your chest
Fingers intertwined
Your lips cover mine
And you wisper, ''I love you.''
Into the darkness,
That is the space between us
My stomach drops
I don't want this to stop
I feel my body flush
And I get this rush
I communicate that, ''I love you, too.''
Lighting the darkness
That was the space between us
