and erase instead of unwind
write inkless declarations
of what it has lost
in endless vague departations
making notes of lack of wisdom's cost

ministering sails on seas of size
sighing and sighning pages of tin
with earnest pencils none the wise
his own laws of composing love
swirling in the oils of a blue-grey dove
