The Sound Poem by Kestrel Quiambao

The Sound

The Sound which bangs my mind
Fears and screams I feel
Chews and spits my soul
Did your soul eat some soup today

The Sound that screams endless voice
Like cats and dogs in my nerves
The noise of the heaven's thunder upon earth
Why scream if you can just call

The Sound that releases all your tensions
Shouts in the bottomless dark pit
Calls to no one near and no one responds
Is that your only choice

The Sound that puts my mind in a wave
Like the burning cold in my skin
Sends shocks of disturbance into my feet
What can I do to make you feel good

Soundless scream you've created
Travels the world to no response
Is that the hurting of your spirit
Shouts and screams, shouts and screams
